The federal government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has prolonged the winter holidays for the winter zone colleges that fall within the Malakand division and the opposite higher areas by 15 days.
The provincial Minister for Schooling, Shahram Khan Tarakai, introduced this in an official tweet on Friday.

Sharing a notification on this regard, Minister Tarakai stated that the faculties in these areas will reopen on 15 February 2021.
In continuation of this Division’s notification of even quantity dated 25.11.2020 and dated 05.01.2021, the competent authority has been happy to increase the winter holidays just for the winter zone colleges as much as 15.02.2021 because of the harsh chilly climate.

The colleges on this zone had beforehand been given winter holidays till 31 January, which have now been prolonged by two weeks.

The choice got here a day after the Nationwide Command and Management Heart (NCOC) endorsed the federal Ministry of Schooling’s determination to reopen center and first colleges and universities from 1 February.
The choice to reopen academic establishments phase-wise was taken in an inter-provincial assembly of the ministers on 4 January. It was determined to reopen the secondary colleges and faculties from 18 January, and the first and center colleges together with the schools from 1 February.
