College students pursuing career-based schooling have been left dismayed by the remarks of the Punjab’s Minister for Increased Schooling, Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz, relating to college students’ studying talents and the extent of abilities of Pakistani graduates.
The minister’s feedback have been in response to a query throughout a press convention on Tuesday about college students condemning the Increased Schooling Fee (HEC) for out-of-syllabus questions within the latest MDCAT examinations.
He replied that such a mindset was “completely mistaken”, and that “except and till the scholars are in a position to develop a behavior of responding to unseen subjects, they’ll by no means be capable to progress”.
“Why are our graduates unable to compete with their worldwide counterparts?” he retorted.

Pakistani college students are used to writing rote-learned solutions in exams, and every time an try is made to enhance the system, folks resist.
“I consider regardless of the HEC is doing is right though I’m by no means associated to the HEC, which is a federal establishment,” the minister added.
Whereas some felt that the minister was proper, many college students felt insulted by his feedback. A number of them expressed their rage on Twitter, lamenting how the scenario confirmed that they’d ‘by no means be capable to get justice.’
Right here is how college students reacted:
I believe he’s proper. As a result of when ever I interview new graduates they’re like 0. they present their selfs like MBA BBA MBBs However throughout the interview they’re like nothing. I respect this. Cease this rata technique and begin learnings. I hope you perceive #saveourfuture https://t.co/GMmr2ZjZQh

PMC on ‘Out-of-Syllabus’ Questions
After contemplating candidates’ protests towards the out-of-syllabus questions within the MDCAT examinations, the Pakistan Medical Fee (PMC) has launched the small print of a post-analysis of the examination to remove the anomaly relating to the outcomes.
The fee recognized 14 of 200 questions as both ambiguous or discriminatory by ‘analyzing the solutions of the candidates, the formation of questions, or which have been under the cut-off benchmark of the discrimination index’. Consequently, all of the candidates have been granted equal marks for the questions in concern.
