Sindh Greater Training Fee (HEC) has been faraway from the Universities and Boards Division and positioned below the Chief Minister’s Secretariat following the amendments made by the provincial authorities within the official guidelines of companies.
In response to a notification, the Chairman of the Sindh Greater Training Fee, Dr. Asim Hussain, will now work below the Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah.
The Sindh authorities earlier expressed considerations over the federal HEC’s determination to abolish the two-year diploma program and introduced that the province would proceed with the diploma program.
Adviser Universities and Boards, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, stated, “The method of abolishing the two-year diploma packages is an assault on provincial sovereignty. Sindh rejects these federal HEC insurance policies and universities in Sindh will proceed with the two-year program below the Universities Act”.
“The Sindh Meeting had handed the Sindh Universities Modification Act in 2018 which accorded autonomy to universities so they might operate in response to their statutes,” he added.
